What are ‘ready to burn’ firewood logs?
We’re proud to sell kiln-dried firewood logs which carry Woodsure ‘Ready to Burn’ certification mark.
Woodsure is the UK’s woodfuel accreditation scheme. The Ready to Burn certification mark is given to wood log suppliers whose logs have a proven moisture content of less than 20%.
Using dry wood is important because burning wood that is too wet can contribute significantly to air pollution, in the form of particulate emissions – whereas burning dry wood emits far fewer emissions, as well as being better for your stove and easier to light.
